POCO India is gearing up to launch the POCO X7 series on January 9th and has teased that the POCO X7 Pro will be the first phone in India with HyperOS 2.0 software. This is something that was reported already, alongside the phone’s leaked renders. Meanwhile, the POCO X7 has been spotted on Geekbench, corroborating some of its rumoured specs. POCO X7 Pro HyperOS 2.0 confirmed
POCO X7 Pro will run HyperOS 2.0 out of the box. The Android skin debuted in October 2024 and will finally be available in India. It could offer the following features:
Improved system performance and stability, graphics, network connectivity, and security.
Dynamic lock screen, which employs AI to generate wallpapers.
AI-based text editing features, image creation and editing features, scam-call alerts, etc.
New widgets, lock screen clock fonts, revamped weather app with 3D effects, etc.
Besides this skin, the phone could also bring a Dimensity 8300 Ultra processor, a 6,550mAh battery with 90W charging, LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
POCO X7 Geekbench listing
The POCO X7’s Indian variant with model number 24095PCADI has been spotted by MySmartPrice on the Geekbench browser. On the NBTC listing, we spotted the POCO X7 moniker with the 24095PCADG model number. The I at the end of the model number refers to India whereas G refers to Global.
The phone has scored 1,032 points in the single-core and 2,926 points in the multi-core tests.
The underpinning processor appears to be a Dimensity 7300 Ultra SoC based on the CPU (4 performance cores at 2.5GHz and the remaining four at 2.0GHz clock speed) and GPU (Mali G615 MC2).
The tested model is running on Android 14 and has 8GB of RAM.
Rest, we expect to see a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 6.67-inch 120Hz display, a 5110mAh battery with 45W fast charging, and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
