Pushpa 2 Box Office Collection: The Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil-starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule has been on a record-breaking spree since its release on December 5. Directed by Sukumar, the film has dominated the box office, remaining strong even in its third and fourth weeks. The makers recently announced that the Hindi dubbed version has crossed the ₹800 crore mark in India, making it the first Hindi film to achieve this milestone.
On Sunday, Mythri Movie Makers shared the news on Instagram, celebrating the film’s historic achievement. Their post read, “Brand #Pushpa inaugurates 𝟖𝟎𝟎 𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐑𝐄 CLUB in Hindi ❤🔥 #Pushpa2TheRule has a RECORD BREAKING COLLECTION in Hindi with 𝟖𝟎𝟔 𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐒 𝐍𝐄𝐓𝐓 in 31 days."
However, official figures from Sacnilk.com indicate that the Hindi version has reached ₹785.7 crore, still shy of the ₹800 crore benchmark. Across all languages, Pushpa 2 has amassed an impressive ₹1202.2 crore gross by January 4.
In Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun reprises his role as Pushpa Raj, with Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil as the antagonist SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. The film has received widespread acclaim, setting the stage for its sequel, Pushpa 3: The Rampage, which has already been announced.
Amid its success, Pushpa 2 has also faced controversy. On December 4, a tragic stampede at the film’s premiere resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman, Revathi, and left her eight-year-old son injured. Lead actor Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 in connection with the incident and released on interim bail the following day. As part of his bail conditions, the actor must appear at the Chikkadpally police station every Sunday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. until January 10 or until the charge sheet is filed, whichever comes first.
Despite the controversy, Pushpa 2: The Rule has cemented its place in Indian cinema history with groundbreaking box office figures and a lasting cultural impact.
