Samsung has been rumoured since last year to introduce an affordable foldable smartphone. It was earlier called Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE but newer leaks suggests it might be Galaxy Z Flip FE. It’s expected to launch later this year alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7. Although there’s no official announcement yet, the Galaxy Z Flip FE might have been confirmed. 

Galaxy Z Flip FE model number, firmware version 

A new smartphone has been spotted on the Samsung OTA servers with the model number SM-F761B (EUX). 

This is believed to be the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE as it’s similar to the model numbers of the previous Flip phones. For context, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 carries the model number SM-741.

Here, the ‘B’ in the model number suggests that this is the European variant. It’s expected to launch in other markets as well.

The firmware version of the Galaxy Z Flip FE is F761BXXU0AYB1.

This is still speculation so we should wait for more details about the Galaxy Z Flip FE.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE: what we know so far

Samsung’s FE (Fan Edition) models are cheaper than the flagship lineup but offer a similar set of features and specifications. Samsung’s foldables sit in the premium segment priced above Rs 80,000 in India. It’s interesting to see which price bracket the Galaxy Z Flip FE will fall in. As far as its specifications are concerned, here’s what has been leaked so far:

Display: The Galaxy Z Flip FE is expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,600 nits peak brightness. It might house a 3.4-inch cover screen, same as the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

Processor: Rumours suggest the upcoming foldable will be powered by the Exynos 2400, which powers last year’s Galaxy S24 series.

RAM and storage: The Galaxy Z Flip FE will most likely be available in at least two variants with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

The Galaxy Z Flip FE launch would fall somewhere around July-August by Samsung’s launch schedule. It’s expected to arrive in India as well since Samsung’s flagship foldables are available here.
