After captivating listeners and viewers with the sensual and sultry song “Chuttamalle,” the makers of director Koratala Siva’s upcoming action drama Devara: Part 1 have released another track from the film starring NTR Jr and Janhvi Kapoor. Titled “Daavudi,” this new song is a dance number with fast, heavy beats, in contrast to the melody “Chuttamalle.”
In the music video, NTR Jr and Janhvi Kapoor, dressed in striking outfits, dive into a dance-off while being surrounded by a large group of lively background dancers. The 132-second video showcases their dynamic dance moves and emphasises visually distinct sets, with choreography designed to make the hook steps both memorable and likely to go viral.
However, “Daavudi” is likely to face similar criticism as “Chuttamalle” for making the 41-year-old NTR Jr romance the 27-year-old Janhvi Kapoor, as well as concerns about the hypersexualisation of the woman and objectifying lyrics.
Composed by Anirudh Ravichander and penned by Ramajogayya Sastry, the track features vocals from Nakash Aziz and Akasa. The song is also available in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
In May, the makers had released another track titled “Fear,” which highlighted the protagonist’s bravery and strength. The song was released on the eve of NTR Jr’s birthday.
