On February 15, 2025, a freed Palestinian prisoner was seen embracing a child after being released by Israel as part of a prisoner swap and ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel. The emotional moment unfolded in Khan Younis, located in the southern Gaza Strip, marking a significant moment of reunion following the exchange.

After being held hostage since the October 7, 2023 attack by Hamas, Israeli-Argentinian Yair Horn was finally released on February 15, 2025. He was seen waving to those around him as he disembarked from a military helicopter at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (Ichilov), flanked by security forces and his family.

Sagui Dekel-Chen, who was held captive during the brutal October 7, 2023 Hamas attack, was reunited with his wife and family on February 15, 2025. The emotional moment marked the end of months of uncertainty and heartache as he embraced his loved ones in Israel.

A former Palestinian prisoner, released as part of the sixth hostage-prisoner exchange, is welcomed by a relative upon arriving at the European Hospital in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip on February 15, 2025. The Israeli Prison Service on February 15 confirmed it had freed 369 prisoners from the Ofer and Kziot prisons near Ramallah and Gaza respectively, after transferring them "from several prisons across the country".
